TMS 1.1 Beta Version Adds Independent Management Capabilities
Since its initial introduction, Aladdin's Token Management System™ (TMS) has provided eToken customers with robust management capabilities, enabling the deployment, provisioning and maintenance of security Tokens, Smartcards and ID Badges within an organization.

TMS 1.1 Beta was recently released, further enhancing convenience and flexibility with new, first-time features. These include:

• Backup and recovery support for certificates and keys.
• Lost and damaged token handling procedures: allow a user who loses or damages his token to go to his administrator and automatically receive a new working token.
• Advanced stand-alone configuration via Shadow domain or ADAM. This enables usage of TMS without AD schema enhancements and without affecting the production environment.
• Licensing engine with support for new devices
• Import/export of user data for updating user information.
• Improved web interface customization.
• Support for eToken NG-OTP (USB-based capabilities only) devices (Siemens CardOS 4.20).

RTE 3.6 Beta Now Available With Full Support for All Devices
RTE 3.6 Beta with upgraded capabilities was released at the end of July, providing full support for all existing and new devices. This version of RTE offers administrators enhanced performance; RSA 2048 support (for Siemens Card OS 4.20-based devices); Siemens Card OS 4.20 devices support; eToken NG-OTP support (USB-based capabilities); and is Entrust 7 ready. With the General Availability release, it will also include support for localization capabilities and web-based enrollment.

Aladdin 2004 PKI Survey Results Now Available
The annual PKI Survey results are now officially out: more than 50 percent of the global companies surveyed have already implemented or planning to implement a PKI. Aladdin Granted Two Key U.S. Patents for Utilizing USB-Based Portable Devices
On August 25th Aladdin announced it was granted patent US 6,763,399, covering portable devices or tokens featuring an on-board smartcard chip that communicates with a host through a USB port. To read the press release, click here.

On September 7, Aladdin announced it had been granted a patent, US 6,748,541. Granted on June 8th, 2004, the patent covers a method of using a portable device that plugs into a computer system (USB/ Serial/ PS2, etc) in order to store unique personal information or credentials in general, which can than be used for authenticating to a network or application. Final Release of eSafe FR2 SE Now Available
The final release of eSafe FR2 SE is now available on a single CD for both Windows and Virtual Appliance. eSafe 4 FR2 SE contains the new EV123 Content Inspection Engine, featuring many security enhancements, as well as the improved Advanced Anti Spam and URL Filter module.
